I have started exercising at gyms many times in the past and quit. This time I’ve been consistent for over a year and thank Brady Dale and Body Renew for my personal success. My number one goal was to learn to lift free weights properly and tone, but they have
taught me so much more. I have never been bored as my sessions are always changing and Brady pushes me to excel and attend other classes that are provided within Body Renew. On my 1-year review, I not only reached my goals but lost weight and inches that I didn’t think I could lose! Although I have made much progress, I won’t be getting rid of my personal training any time soon.

At the age of 52, I had never had a gym membership. My husband and I became empty nesters last August and my daughter said, “Mom, it is time to take care of you.” So with her daily check-ins and encouragement, the gym became a “habit.” I ended up getting a personal trainer; this became my 2nd best decision. I have always thought that having a trainer was an extravagance, now I know it’s a necessity to help me reach my weight and strength goals. Thavun has educated me on nutrition, how to be effective in strength and cardio training and giving me that steady push I need to stay committed to becoming a stronger me.

I have trained with a few different personal trainers and it was okay, but not what I needed. When I started training with Ray, he seemed to actually listen and help me with what I needed in my fitness journey. I was recovering from a car accident and had back problems still, and he helped me get great workouts without hurting my back. I am very excited with my results and really enjoy my time at Body Renew.

When I joined the south club in December I was looking for a place to work on me and to feel at home. I then met my trainer Michelle Russo; she tests me with new exercises that have made me stronger and more confident. I’m finally learning to accept me. I have a ways to go to reach my goal, but with the help of Michelle and staff I know I will make it there. Thank you for all that you do!!

After going through major knee surgery two years ago, I was afraid to push myself and get re-injured. The rehab process was long and I felt I would never be the same mentally or physically. My balance and strength were lacking and my workouts were boring, I had to make a change. I signed up for the Little Black Dress Challenge with the goal of losing weight and getting in shape to keep up with my sled dogs. Going to group classes and personal training sessions have totally changed my view of working out and I now look forward to going to the gym. My strength and balance have improved greatly. Katherine gives me specific exercises to increase leg/knee strength and improve flexibility. I am so happy with my progress so far and I look forward to the next challenge. Bring it on!

When I started working out with Rob, I weighed 220 lbs, 23% body fat, and couldn’t even do a pull-up. After a year and a half of hard work and the constant encouragement from Rob, I am now 190 lbs, 15% body fat and am in the best shape of my entire life. The only regret I have had throughout this whole process was that I didn’t start sooner.

After training for a year, Chris and I started taking it up a notch. I have been battling with my weight for 12 yrs or so. Last July my doctor asked me to lose at least 10 pounds, because I was borderline diabetic. I made the decision to take control of my health last October, I joined Body Renew and started watching my calorie intake. Five months later I dropped three dress sizes, 25.9 pounds, 19.5 inches and 6.2% of body fat, more importantly, now all of my blood work is normal. I have more energy than before, I can go up stairs without losing my breath, am able to play with my kids and more. I feel more confident not because of how I look, but because of what I have been able to achieve so far.

I think the really big changes started to happen over the last few months when Brady told me that he was going to have me sign up for different challenges where I had to go the gym 4-6 days a week. Over the many weeks of the challenges
I noticed I was getting skinner while getting stronger the whole time eating the healthiest I ever had. I took third place in the willow winter solstice 5k during a blizzard and I going to run in a Tough Mudder during March.

When I started at Body Renew I was a new mother and getting ready for surgery. I couldn’t do any impact or core exercises. I was at my highest weight after surgery and had a negative outlook on my body. Working with Ray has contentiously pushed to do the extra step or run a little longer each day. He is a constant motivation in each training session. I’m no longer afraid of the gym or what I see in the mirror, thanks to Ray and the entire Body Renew team.

I started coming to Body Renew in March of 2014. Four months after that I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. I immediately underwent chemo and radiation therapy. Fast forward to February 2016 where I was declared remission. I had gained over 30 pounds from my diagnosis, along with other factors. Jonanthony changed my life. Since February, I have lost 50 pounds. With the support of my trainer, good eating habits and exercise, I know I’ll reach my goal weight.

I first started training with Brady at Body Renew after receiving an injury. I had the typical goal of weight loss as well as strengthening the area of injury. Brady was encouraging throughout the whole process. He gave diet options and when those options did not work, he found other solutions until we could find something that did work. Brady was the same way with his exercises, he was tough yet encouraging. If a certain exercise was not working, it would be modified or adjusted completely to accommodate what I needed and still pushed me to grow as a healthier person. With the change in diet to eating more frequently and increased exercise throughout the week, I have started to obtain my weight loss goals. My area of injury is strengthening, I’ve improved rotation, and improved my form while lifting. I have stronger mental health and more self- confidence. I gained more than my original goals and that is due to the help of Brady.
